Face and Body Painting Convention in Perth!!
The Australian Body Art Awards have a face and body painting convention happening here in Perth, 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th September, 2015.
the 15th Sept and 18th Sept are reserved for full day classes with 1 instructor for the whole day. (Miguel Angel from Columbia) $195 per day.
The 16th and 17th Sept will be full days of classes but there will be 4 x 90 minute sessions throughout the day with a variety of instructors. Each session you will have a choice of 3 classes to go to.
Conventions are a great way to be inspired to keep your skill set developing, a great networking opportunity but also who else do you get to talk passionately about glitter, the perfect colour purple and the amazing sponge you just bought last week!!....People at a face and body painting convention : )
Early Bird tickets are available until the 17th July for $325 which includes the classes held on the 16th and 17th Sept.

A number of workshops have been added to the Limelight Company website for January, February and March with more planned for the rest of the year.
We have beginners face painting and beginners one stroke workshops, a beyond beginners one stroke workshop, a butterflies workshop, a stencils workshop and a beginners workshop for 7-12 years olds.
If you would like to book in for one, just pay your deposit online and it will secure your spot in the workshop.
PLEASE NOTE: these workshops are only held if 4 or more are registered. If a workshop is cancelled, your payment/ deposit will be refunded.

New products and dates for November face painting workshops
We will be adding a few more Ben Nye products to our website this week.
Ben Nye MagiCake face and body paints in 6 colour palette $32.90 and 12 colour palette $62.90. It is great for hot climates as it doesn't go "gloopy" in the heat and doesn't smudge as much in hot sweaty conditions.
I can also order in individual colours if requested, allow 4 weeks for delivery for special orders.
We also have the Ben Nye Sparklers glitter, $8.90 in colours, Opal Ice, Gold Prism, Silver Prism and Galactic Violet. More colours to come in the new year, the tester palette has caught everyone's eye when they visit Limelight Company and I can't wait to use it for this weekend's face painting gigs.

"One Stroke for Beginners"
3 hours 11-2pm
$100 includes a TAG one stroke cake of your choice and 2 tag flat brushes size #8 and #12.
One stroke style of painting is a tricky one to master so this is for beginners to learn the techniques of one stroke painting.
20th November
"BAM Stencil workshop"
10.30am-12.30pm
$85 includes 2 BAM stencils. (BYO small paint kit)
Learn how to use the BAD ASS stencils to add texture and highlights to your face painting designs.
22nd November
"One Stroke...Beyond Beginners"
3 hours
11am-2pm
$100 includes a TAG one stroke cake of your choice.
once you have mastered the basic strokes of one stroke painting, this class is the next step, introducing you to more designs such as, dolphins, sea horses, a cute little koala and many more.

What a week we have had at Limelight Company!!

a Graffiti Artist who discovered face and body painting a number of years ago was at Limelight Company to teach for his "Graffiti Down Under" tour. He had his Perth students whipping up graffiti storms and showed us so many new techniques and designs to use on our face painting/ body painting jobs and projects, I am sure he made a huge impression on all that attended his classes and we can't wait for him to visit Perth the next time he tours Australia. His 3rd day of workshops at Limelight Company was "Fine Art Body Painting" and the results were magnificent, he was very impressed by the Perth painters who attended his workshops and rightfully so.
I know he will be happy to come and visit Limelight Company again to see his "baby". He left a very special piece of artwork on the wall in our workshop space. He wanted a large wall to paint, we had a very large empty wall and the rest is now beautiful history!
If you are in Perth, you really need to come and see it in person, it is stunning.
Thank you Wiser, it was such a pleasure to have you here in Perth, you have left us all busting to paint something and I can't wait to see what projects you have inspired in everyone that took part in your workshops.
